White sand, clear Gulf water, and Boca Grande about 20 minutes from Atenia.
Boca Grande is not an attraction to check off once. It is the easy answer to “what should we do today?” Pack towels at Atenia, drive about 20 minutes, cross onto Gasparilla Island, choose a beach access, wander the village for lunch and return to the house while there is still time for the pool.

Go early for cooler sand and quieter shoreline. Stay through a village lunch. Continue toward the lighthouse and the pass, then return to Atenia with time left for the pool.

Boca Grande’s compact village adds shaded streets, independent shops and an old-Florida pause between the morning beach and late-day water.
The island’s southern edge is inseparable from tarpon history and big-water views. Currents around the pass can be strong; admire and fish with local guidance.
